I found my passion for marketing and communications as a student at San Francisco State University through Alpha Kappa Psi | Psi Kappa chapter, a co-ed business organization.
During my term as Vice President of Marketing I managed the digital and print promotions for two of our biggest events for the semester: Spring Rush recruitment and a large-scale networking event known as LaunchPad.
Execution of the Spring Rush recruitment campaign included t-shirt design, poster and flyer design and distribution, organizing tabling efforts, and promoting the event through social media leading up to 40+ attendees per rush event and 30+ sign ups for recruitment.
Working closely with the Professional Development committee, I handled the brand development of LaunchPad based on the theme for that year. The campaign included designing the flyers, posters, and social media content for the event including a profile photo campaign involving members of the organization. These promotion efforts led to 200+ views and tickets ordered for the event.
Throughout this time, I lead a team of 10+ members to assist with these promotions and to handle other marketing initiatives. This includes social media branding and community engagement, small-scale professional and social event promotions, and educating the organization on best marketing practices.
Prior to leading the Marketing committee, I created a Sponsorship Package for the Professional Development committee in our efforts to acquire sponsors. After leading the Marketing team, I acted as Vice President of Alumni Relations where I managed community engagement among alumni and fostered relations between alumni and active members through social media groups, email newsletters, and hosting events.
